1100 Saplings Plantation Drive at Suklai Site Under Amrit Briksha Andolan 2024
In a remarkable effort to enhance environmental sustainability, the Water Resources Department (WRD), Govt of Assam, in collaboration with D Kumar Group, organized a massive plantation drive at the Suklai site as part of the Amrit Briksha Andolan 2024. This initiative witnessed the successful planting of 1100 saplings, marking a significant step towards reforestation and environmental conservation in the region. The event was attended by senior officials from both the WRD and D Kumar Group, along with local community members, volunteers, and environmentalists. The enthusiasm and commitment displayed by all participants were evident as they worked together to plant a diverse range of saplings, including native species that are well-suited to the local climate and soil conditions.
Class Rooms Donation
Today, 16th of June, 2024 marks a monumental day in the history of GPRT 238 as we inaugurated two meaningful classrooms at Shankardev Shishu Niketan Maligaon. The success of this event was the result of exceptional teamwork, dedication and generous contributions from members of GPRT 238 and GPLC 182. Words cannot express the contributions made by our members in terms of time and money, to ensure that this project was completed in the record time of 55 days.
Ambulance Donation
In collaboration with Astha NGO, we are proud to announce the donation of ambulances to support healthcare infrastructure in Udalguri, Assam. These ambulances, equipped with advanced medical facilities, played a crucial role in providing timely medical assistance to those in remote areas, ensuring that no life is lost due to lack of access to healthcare services.
Dead Body Carrying Vehicle during COVID-19
In collaboration with Astha NGO, we have donated a dead body carrying vehicle to Udalguri, Assam, to address the sensitive issue of handling unidentified deceased individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic. This vehicle will facilitate the dignified transportation and proper handling of such cases, ensuring respect for every life, even in the absence of family members.
